Beta releases of 1.4 coming soon
In addition to updates and fixes for 1.3, we've been working hard on 1.4.
Tax configuration has been improved, with an open config-file based system controlling the calculations and some other settings. Kartris 1.4 will support EU VAT, US sales tax and Canadian GST/PST/HST taxes, as well as a general % tax option; the new system should make it simpler to tweak the calculations and also add support for new jurisdictions with their own tax requirements in future.
1.4 is the first Kartris based on ASP.NET 4.0, and the back end stats makes use of the new graphing tools available.
Order editing has been improved as payments can be added manually to the back end.
There have been a host of other improvements and further optimization of the database layer for performance on huge sites.
We will start making beta versions of upcoming releases available soon. These will allow testing of the new features, and hopefully channel useful information back to us.
